Kathleen Nordman, DMD

Hi, I’m Dr. Kathleen Nordman. I grew up in Florham Park, NJ and attended college at Kean University in Union, NJ. From there, I attended dental school at UMDNJ in Newark, NJ, completing my degree in 2002. I continued my training at UMDNJ for 3 years in Periodontics. In 2006, I purchased my periodontal practice in Denville, NJ. I currently live in Randolph, NJ with my husband, 3 children and 3 puppies. As a family, we love being outdoors and spending time together. Personally, I love music, going to concerts and quiet time reading.

I have always loved medicine and got an early start learning about dentistry from my mother who has been a dental assistant for 49 years. I have a past work history of assembling medical products in high school and a job in a machine shop in college. Dentistry combined my love of medicine and hands-on skills as a perfect career match. Once in dental school, periodontics became my focus because it integrated all aspects of the dental field. It also allowed me to form great relationships with my patients. As any perio patient knows, I get to see them every 3-6 months! Through this close relationship, I am able to get to know them, understand their fears and help them become comfortable with getting the care they need to have happy and healthy smiles.
